Graze: Snack Box

Hey guys!

I recently got a free code for a Snack Subscription Box called Graze. I've heard a ton of positive and a few negative things about this company, but I decided that I'd try it out for myself since it was free. For those who don't know, Graze is a weekly or bi-weekly subscription that costs $5, and they send you a small box with 4 different snacks. The sizes and portions are very small, but it is a snack, not a meal. A few weeks ago, there was a holiday advertisement on TV for the first Graze box being free when you sign up, using a code of course. The week of my box was December 29, 2014 - January 4, 2015.

Here is a picture of the box.

When you open your box, there is a cute welcome card, letting you know what box you chose. I chose was the Nibble Box. The other choice you could get is the Light Box, which is the healthy version.

On the backside of the welcome portion, they tell you all about the ingredients of each little container of snack and the nutrition facts on top of it all.

These are the snacks I received. Unfortunately, only 3 of them were actually good.

The first snack I received was a 1.2 oz package of Summer Berry Compote & Whole Wheat Shortbread Biscuits. This is just 4 small whole wheat biscuits with a berry dipping sauce. For those wondering, there are 130 Calories in this pack.

This pack was my favorite out of all 4. The compote smells kinda gross, but the taste is the complete opposite. It tasted nice, tangy, and fruity. The shortbread's were very moist, but not too moist to fall apart trying to dip them in the compote.

The next snack was this 1 oz package of Brooklyn Bites. This has poppyseed pretzels, cheese flavored cashews, and roasted pumpkin seeds. This has 160 Calories.

This pack the only bad one out of all 4. The pretzels were extremely dry and had an awful after-taste. The cashews, you could tell it was fake/processed cheese and nobody in my family enjoyed this part of the snack. Lastly, the pumpkin seeds, these were actually pretty tasty.

Next is a 0.88 oz package of the Garden of England. This has mini strawberries, blackcurrants, and soft apple pieces. This snack is considered the healthiest out of all 4 and it has 70 Calories.

This pack was really tasty! It smells horrid, but it tastes pretty good. First off, the strawberries tasted gross at first taste, but as you taste it more and chew it, the taste gets better. The blackcurrants taste like flavorless raisins. I am not a huge fan of raisins to begin anyways. Lastly, the apple pieces were really good! They are super tangy and soft.

The last snack was this 1.4 oz package of Salted Fudge and Peanut Cookie. This has baked salted peanuts, vanilla fudge pieces, mini chocolate cookies, and redskin peanuts. This is probably the most unhealthy snack out of all 4, it has 230 Calories.

This pack tastes and smells good. The salted peanuts are lacking on the salt big time. The fudge is strong on the vanilla flavoring, but not in a bad way. The cookies are kinda dry, crunchy, and almost tastes like a dry version of a brownie. Lastly, the redskin peanuts are the nastiest part of this snack. They have a bad taste and after taste.

Overall, I think the size of all the contents really makes this NOT worth the $5. In my honest opinion, they should make the portion sizes a little bigger. That way it is actually worth everyone's money.
